Fiverr Fees for Freelancers
Last updated: September 28, 2026
Fiverr fees for freelancers in 2026 start with a flat 20% seller commission. You are credited 80% of the order, including extras and tips. The buyer service fee is charged to the client at checkout and is not taken out of that 80%. Withdrawal costs come after.

How the 20% seller fee works
Fiverr deducts the commission when an order is completed. Seller level, repeat buyers, and order size do not change the rate. A $25 gig and a $5,000 gig both lose 20% before you can withdraw. Gig extras and tips are included in the purchase amount, so the same 20% applies to them.
Seller Plus and Fiverr Pro plans are optional subscriptions. They can change visibility, analytics, or how fast earnings clear. They do not replace the 20% commission on completed orders. Whether that commission is still a reasonable acquisition cost is covered in is Fiverr's 20% fee worth it.
What you keep before withdrawal
| Order total | Fiverr keeps | Credited to you |
|---|---|---|
| $50 | $10 | $40 |
| $200 | $40 | $160 |
| $1,000 | $200 | $800 |
On Upwork, the same $1,000 can cost anywhere from $0 to $150, depending on the rate locked to that contract. Fiverr is predictable: it is always $200 on a $1,000 order.
The buyer fee is not your fee
Buyers pay a separate service fee at checkout, often a percentage of the order plus a small fixed amount on lower totals. That fee raises the price the client sees. It is not subtracted again from the 80% credited to you. When you price a gig, the number that matters for your margin is the order price you set, minus 20%, minus whatever the payout rail charges.
Withdrawal fees after the 20%
Fiverr lists these payout costs on its help center. A single withdrawal is capped at $5,000. If you cash out in a currency other than USD, the provider can also apply a conversion rate on top of the fee below.
| Method | Fiverr withdrawal fee | Minimum | Timing |
|---|---|---|---|
| PayPal | $0 | $1 | Up to 24 hours |
| Bank transfer, local currency | $3 | $20 | 1–3 business days |
| Bank transfer, USD wire | $1 | $20 | 5–7 business days |
| Payoneer account | $3 | $10 | Up to 2 business days |
| Payoneer Revenue Card | $1 – $3 | $30 | Up to 2 business days |
Example: a $200 order credits $160. A PayPal withdrawal at $0 still leaves $160 before any PayPal conversion. A Payoneer-account withdrawal at $3 leaves $157. On a $50 order, that same $3 is 7.5% of the $40 you were credited — the flat payout fee hurts small gigs more than the headline 20%.
Completed orders usually sit in a clearing period before you can withdraw. Standard sellers often wait about 14 days; some Top Rated, Seller Plus, and Pro accounts clear faster. Availability of PayPal and Payoneer depends on your country. Compare the rails in the PayPal, Wise, Payoneer, and Stripe guide.
